Summer Lovin

Whew! I know I have published a lot lately, but it has been a busy summer. These next few posts are about our vacation to California. We had so much fun. The little boys couldn't get enough of Sea World, and the big boys couldn't get enough of the beach. Kameron and I just enjoyed watching them all have fun. It is so nice to escape with your family and spend quality time together. We are always so busy and running around that we don't get enough time together. I love them all so much and want to do this more often.

They had a bear cave. The kids would climb in and the bear would roar and scare them to death. Kameron have had fun seeing all of our kids come running out of the bear cave over the years. Being silly waiting in line

The little boys LOVED Shamu. We saw it three times over the two days we were there. This time we had to sit in the splash zone. We got soaked. They thought it was so fun.

We went to some tide poos at Point Loma. Austin is holding crab that he caught. The kids kept saying that they wanted to go crabbing. So there you go.

We went to the beach in California and my kids are total beach bums. They loved every minute of it. After hours we had to drag them out to go home. I have to admit though that the beach is Kameron and I's favorite place to be also, so they come by it naturally. The only question to ask is why do we live in Utah and not by a beach?Austin found snail and clams under the sand in the water.

This was Logan's first time at the beach that he can remember. He keps saying I have never seen so much sand. When it was time to go into the water he would say "I am going to go get into the pool." Funny funny boy.

Jackson love boogie boarding. He doesnt weigh much so he could ride the wave forever all the way up to where we were sitting.

Jackson had his 8th Birthday in June and we had a snake party! I know I know a snake party. I was told that none of his friends mom's would let them have a snake party and the exact quote is "You Rock Mom!" So as much as I hate snakes that made it all worth it. I do have to say it was a very easy party. The guy was funny and entertaining. I learled a few things and we saw all kinds of creapy crawlies. Scorpions, lizards, turtles and snakes. All in all I think it was a successful birthday.

Austin loved the big snake. Ridge and Josh stuck with the little ones.

Jackson got Babtized on July 11th. If was a great day. Jer and Jolene and their kids came, as well as Bryan, Hillary, Kyleigh and Grandma and Grandpa Cook. We all went to the Temple open house in the morning and Grandma Luci, Devean and Emily joined us later for the babtism. If was a wonderful day. We are so proud of Jackson. He is a sweet boy and turning into a little man.

My baby is 5. If you want to know the truth I hate it. They grow up so fast and I just want them to stay young. I can't believe it has been five years. He has been such a fun kid. He is a little shy and a mama's boy. I'm not complaining. Soon he will be a teenager and talk back :(

Ok, So I'm not crazy about Sponge Bob, but it was Logan's birthday and that is what he wanted. I figured better on the cake than on a t-shirt. So Spongebob it is. It was actually cupcakes that you pulled off and gave each kid. I thought it would be great. It was actually a huge mess. Next time regular cupcakes.

After all of the magic fun everyone got balloon animals to take home. It was one of the best parties we have done. Magician does his thing, we open presents , eat cupcakes and off you go. Plus the kids loved it.

Jayce came with Grandma Toni and Grandpa Rick to join in the festivities. I thought it was great that they both were asked to come up and help. Jayce was funny, he tried to take things out of the magician's pocket.

Logan got to help, but he couldn't keep his wand up. The kids were laughing histerically. (IS that how you spell that) remember that I can't spell.

Jackson is holding Kameron's Action Man Award. As most of you know we own a franchise of Action Coach where Kameron is a business coach. He recently went to the North American Conference and won an award for helping others (He coaches about 25 other coaches to help them grow their Action Coaching Business as well as his own clients) Any way he won this award and they gave him an action man figure. Apparently they are rare and worth some money. It will now be my challenge to keep him looking like new and not loosing any pieces with boys anxious to play with him. Yikes!

Today we went to Jackson's Grandparents program at school. I went with Luci (even though I'm not a grandparent) and it was so great! They sang songs quoted poems and it was truely wonderful. I have been to a number of programs in my day and let me tell you they are not all wonderful. Jackson was so cute. Don't worry he sang all of his songs for grandma and grandpa Cook when they were here last time so they didn't totally miss out. Great job Jackson. We loved it.

Baseball season is officially here! We went to St George last weekend for the first tournament of the year. We went to St George, because it was supposed to be warm, but it was cold the whole time. My crazy boys didn't care thought and swam in the pool everyday! Oh to be young again.

January Swim Lessons??

Ok, So I know it is freezing outside and you usually do swim lessons in the summer, but we were really bored and did swim lessons in January. I will not do swim lessons in the summer again.....

Logan loved it, and their were only three people in his class both his friends. It was almost like having private lessons. He learned a lot and other than walking to the car we were all warm.

I just think you need a diversion this time of year. It's to cold to do anything outside. Christmas is over and if it weren't for American Idol what would we do. Fortunately for us Baseball season officially starts next week and we get to go to St George. I sure hope it's really warm.

I was going through our pictures and I foud this one of President Hinckley. I really miss him. He was always so optimistic and had a bright smile. I loved it when he would walk along and wave his cane. Don't get me wrong I love President Monson as well they are different but both such wonderful men.

I can remember all of my little brothers loving Indiana Jones. I never thought I would have all four of my little boys love him to. Logan is obsessed and I don't see any slowing down in the near future. He wears Jackson's hat whenever he is not home and can crack the whip like a pro. Grandma Toni came to visit last weekend and we all went to Temple Square. It was really nice and the last day to go before the million storms hit. If you look at the picture their is no snow:(
The boys loved it and I always enjoy this as one of my favorite Christmas activities. I do need to learn how to turn your pictures, so if anyone knows help me. You can see from the pictures below that I have not learned yet.

Kameron turns 40!!!! I know that I am in big trouble but we had a lot of fun for Kameron's birthday, besides Russ did most of the bad stuff. Russ is one of Kameron's clients and one of his good friends. He came to our house at 6:30 in the morning and had a wheel chair with all sorts of over the hill things. He was dressed in scrubs and on the back it said Geriatric Assistant. It was so funny. Russ then accompanied Kameron to all of his appointments that day and made him sit in the wheel chair. That evening I had arranged some of our friends to meet us at Mountain Mikes pizza where we had a great party. Thank you to all of our friends who attended. You mean a lot to us. I will post some more pictures from that day.

This week it's all about Ridge. We went to his choir concert. It was all boys and the sang three songs. It was really cute to see 70 miserable 7th graders singing. They sounded great though.

Our neighborhood did a Luminary celebration on Saturday. We all had lighted bags along the side walk with picture boards of the Christmas story. At different stations people were singing, playing guitar, piano ect. At the end we had a live nativity. This is a picture of Ridge being Joseph for the live nativity.

OK, So I just started blogging and was worried that I would not have anything new and exciting to say. Then I was reminded that I have 4 boys and things will always come up. Tuesday Logan came down stairs and said that his ear hurt. I figured he had and ear infection and took him to the DR. After looking in his ear he said that their was no infection but he had something green in his ear. After about 20 minutes and many different tools he could still not get it out. His ear was bleeding a lot and needles to say Logan had had enough so he sent me to an ear nose and throat DR. He immediately said it would have to be surgically removed the next day. So now surgery is over all is well and the ears are clear of foreign objects.

OK, So everyone I know is blogging and I guess it's time I joined. I went to Idaho for Thanksgiving this weekend and all of my sister in laws are doing it. I'm a sucker for peer pressure!:) While we were in Idaho my mom went to a lot of effort to arrange a family photo. We all had the clothes and bathed and dressed all of the kids. No small fete their were 20 of us. We got there and the photographer took all of 15 minutes to do a group shop and 3 family breakouts. Needless to say they were not the best pictures. Thankfully Hilary is a pro and by the time she edited the whole thing we were all looking good. Thanks Hilary. We will be doing another picture in the spring. Thanksgiving was awesome. It is always nice to see the family and hang out. The cousins LOVE to play together and that's what it is all about. I especially enjoyed playing with all of the babies. Good times were had by all.
